    Good afternoon Team Titleist,

It has been a little while since I have posted and I can say it is nice to be back!  With all of the hot weather here in Toronto recently, I'm sure a lot of golf has been played so far by Team Titleist Members.  My question today has how has your season been so far?  What has been your best round?  Are the new Titleist clubs in the bag working out well?  Are you on track to reach your goals for 2012??  For me, it's been a bit of a slow start in terms of the number of rounds, but the games I have played have been a lot of fun.  I am really loving my new 910 Fd and the 712 MB's have been awesome!!  Still looking to sink a few more putts, but I feel that I am getting closer to that happening!!  All and all a very positive start.

    How about you guys?

2012 has been good so far, qualified for 2 events so far and finished 3rd in another. Still haven't transitioned into my new irons yet but they are sitting here waiting for their spot in the bag. Few more tournaments coming up soon so hopefully next week I can get the new ones in the bag.

Driver went straight into the bag and it is great. Best driver I've ever had. Wedge play is getting better and the game is probably more consistent than ever. Looking forward to getting some more time to practice and compete.

For the first time in the last three seasons I am healthy and am hitting my AP2 irons and Vokey wedges farther and more consistent. I have broken the 90 barrier four times in a row and have room in my chipping and putting to go lower.

I am also using the new Titleist velocity balls and absolutely love them.

The weather has been great here on Long Island. I've been able to play about 30 reounds so far. I've noticed a huge improvement in my short game. Averaging 1.8 putts/round. Off the tee is still a work in progress. I think I'm having some mentall spasms when I have the driver in my hands. I slice it way too much. I still have been able to maintain a 9.3 hcp.

Another update on the year, missed Ontario Am qualifying by Retrogression which was a disappointment but finished 6th at the Ontario Mid Am and trying to get the time to go to the Candian Mid-Am in Vancouver in September.

New irons made it into the bag for the last event and I had my best ball striking week of my life. Still waiting for my SM4 TVD wedges to replace my CC ones but that's not a big deal as they should be here in the next week or so and picked up a new shaft for my 3 wood that is a touch lighter than my normal P95 but the same version as my driver shaft just the 85g version.

    Hit 38/54 greens 70.37%

    Hit 34/42 Fairways 80.95%

Putting on the other hand was a mess, got a Mid Sized Dancing Cameron Baby T grip that I just put on my putter with a bunch of wraps under it to make it a jumbo size. Need to figure something out before my next event.

Hope everyone else's season is going well it's scary to think that the season is almost half over already.

Season has been pretty good thus far!

I won a local qualifier for the US Open at Pinehills Country Club back on May 10th with a 66 (won by 2). Finished 3rd a few weeks later on the QPGA circuit with rounds of 75-65 (65 beeing the lowest that week) before finishing T12 at the Canadian University Championship in Victoria, BC. Unfortunately, did not qulify for the US Open at the sectionnal (shot 1 over and the cut was -4) but learned a lot from that experience and realized that I have the game to perform at that level. Since, then, it's been back to the gym and working hard on all facets of my game to prepare for our amateur stretch back here in Quebec in preparation for the Candian Am and the US Am!

My new 712Ap2 surelly helped my game in the process by improving my ballstriking during swingchanges. The bag is set if there is such thing to say! ;)

Awesome golf season so far thanks to my Titleist clubs and ball! Recently qualified for my first Canadian Amateur at age 47. Won the Club Championship at the Belvedere Golf Club this past weekend with a 7 under total for two days. Looking forward to the trip to Ottawa and the Canadian Amateur and testing my game against the country's best!

I'd like to start off with congratulating all our fellow Team Titleist members with some great performances this year. My goal is to eventually enter some of these tournaments and see where i would end up. It would be a great learning experience. It's been such a great season so far. I've shot four rounds in the 70's and continue to go lower. I've made huge improvements in my putting game with the recent addition of my new Scotty Cameron Newport 2. Still lots of season left and plenty more rounds to play. Keep up the work everyone and I look forward to hearing some more great stories.

    Cheers Shawn
