I finally figured out my ball of preference and was wondering what everyone on the forum is using. I know the common answer is "depends on personal feel" but what I am asking is why do you like that ball of choice and at the same time describe what kind of player you are when it comes to skill and style. I prefer the Pro V1 (now) because I love the check on the green and I know now what many say about feel especially when it comes to putts! I thought NXT tour was for me because I don't always hit the straightest drives but when you only use your driver so many times per round.....I think the trade off is great for short game. I don't know how to draw or fade a ball (yet) and I usually score around low 90's though I did score an 82 this past week and have noticed much improvement in my game already this year!! Maybe course management or the new ball...... Too bad I didn't figure out my ball earlier because I would've jumped on the buy 3 get 1 free! Anyways, love to hear from all on TT and it may help others narrow down their choice

For me, the most important thing for me in a ball is how it feels coming off the putter head.  I chose and use the ProV1 for this reason.  I've tried others but found that it feels the best.  I've played Titleist from all the way back to the old Tour 100's then the Professional's and now the ProV's.... loved 'em then and love 'em now!

For spring and fall play I love the NXT  S but mid summer prov 1 all the way that soft feel and abs braking system that ball has is by far the best IMO :D

    Tom...

When I started golfing I used any ball I could get my hands on and finally settled in on the Titleist DT for price and the fact that it felt "right" when I used them. I wanted to play the ProV1 but at the time I was losing to many balls per round to make it an affordable choice :)

Now that my game has improved and I normally get more rounds per ball rather than balls per round I have moved to the ProV series. I use the ProV1 in the spring and fall as they seem softer off the club face when it is colder out as compared to the ProV1x. In the heat of the summer I switch to the ProV1x as I find it flies further for my swing. Both the balls seem to play well in all seasons on and around the greens for me (when I do chip properly that is).

I'm sort of torn between the V1 and V1x. I like the performance of the 1x but the feel in my opinion is way better off of the face of my Scotty. Feel is real... and feel is King.

I prefer to use the ProV1x, cuts down my spin on wedges and I get roughly 5 yards more carry off the tee with more roll. Using the NXT Tour would definitely tighten up your tee shot dispersion. Your golf ball should fit your strengths and make your weaknesses stronger. You might want to try the ProV1x to cut down on your side spin from your driver, you will be sacrificing a little green side spin but not as much as switching to NXT Tour.
