Okay - That's it. I promise to think of you up there in NWT the next time I feel the need to complain about our weather here in Barrie, Ontario.
I was fortunate today to be out on the range hitting balls wearing shorts and then I look at your pictures :(
I hope the course is ready for play very soon for you and your friends.
I do have a couple of questions for you... Given it is a sand course - How do you know when you are in a fairway bunker ? Do you have to rake after every shot ?

thanks Darius! It's an interesting course. As you can imagine, little to no carry on shots due to the sand

We carry around hitting mats. Some are taller fake grass, i use a cally short grass mat. All shots get a drop like winter rules, however you place your mat and then ball on the mat. Local rules give you six inches due to the mat, so if you're behind a tree, the chance is good to punch it forward!

In a hazard (we have 3 sand bunkers on the course) you have to play it as it lies (red stakes you can't use your mat)

Challenging for sure! I'm a mid to high 90s here and a high 80s to mid 90s "down south"

and one other thing - you can tee off at midnight mid June and play 18!! love that midnight sun

That is amazing... Certainly not something I would want a steady diet of, but I can only imagine how interesting it would be to play that way. It is a testament to your dedication to the game. It would be pretty cool to go out at midnight and get in a round. Enjoy your season !!!
