    How did we choose the new sidestamp? What makes the all-new Pro V1 different than the previous generation? Am I good enough to play Pro V1 and Pro V1x?

    These were just a handful of questions we received when we asked our Instagram community what questions they had about the all-new Pro V1 and Pro V1x. Check out some answers below from our team of product experts and drop any additional comments below - we’ll do our best to get back to you with some answers!

    Q: Biggest difference between new Pro V1 and previous generation?

    A: Pretty simple – longer distance, more spin into and around the greens and softer feel with slightly higher flight for both the Pro V1 and Pro V1x.

    Q: My club has a lot of wind in play almost everyday. Is Pro V1 better in the wind?

    A: Pro V1 has a more penetrating trajectory with lower long game which can be better in the wind for some players. Best to test both Pro V1 and Pro V1x, starting at the green and working backwards to see what is best for your game.

    Q: What makes these balls good for a beginner?

    A: The Pro V1, Pro V1x, Pro V1x Left Dash and AVX golf balls perform for all golfers, not just highly skilled players. For instance, mid to high handicap players tend to miss more greens and need to get up and down more frequently to save strokes. The spin control of these models helps these players execute the short game shots necessary to play their best.

    Q: How long was the process to design and engineer the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x?

    A: It really never ends. We have teams working with players across worldwide professional tours in addition to amateurs of all skill levels trying to understand their performance needs. At the same time R&D is constantly looking at new technologies and materials to improve golf ball quality and performance.

    Q: Difference between Pro V1x Left Dash and the Pro V1x?

    A: Compared to the Pro V1x, the Pro V1x Left Dash has a similar flight, but has lower long game spin and a firmer feel.

    Q: How did you choose the new sidestamp?

    A: We start with a large number of designs and test them with players to see which design performs best. For 2021 over 12,000 golfers had a say in the design of the sidestamp. You can learn more about what went into designing the new sidestamp here.

    Q: Which ball lowers spin? I tend to spin my wedges off the green.

    A: Iron spin (lowest to highest) AVX < Pro V1x Left Dash < Pro V1 < Pro V1x

    Q: How should I choose between Pro V1 and Pro V1x?

    Q: How do the dimple patterns differ between them and why?

    A: Pro V1 has 388 dimples, Pro V1x has 348. In addition to the different counts, the sizes and layouts differ between the two as well.

    Hi. New to posting on this forum. Over the past few years, I have tried a lot of different balls and have enjoyed learning about different characteristics of each. I am not overly technical, but the process of choosing the right ball is interesting, even if we are talking subtle differences.

    In the meantime, I had been avoiding the ProV1 series, as I believed some of the crap about a 75 MPH swinger not being able to properly compress this ball. Well, the "experts" are wrong. I have done plenty of testing, and I can tell you that I drive the ball further and straighter, and I am a better chipper, when playing a Pro V1X. There is a reason the ProVs are the highest-rated balls in the universe. They are better than the rest, and I don't think anyone's swing speed is too slow to use this wonderful product. It helps you play better and gives you confidence. Thx.

    Thanks for the update. Have been a dedicated player of the Prov1 ball, after being fitted for it, for many years. I tested the new 2021 Prov1 when the white sleeves were sent out and thanks for letting me be a part of that. At 75 picked up a few yards. The equipment that I play with has been fitted to my game by Titleist certified fitters and with the new Prov1 that I recently ordered I hope to improve my game even more. No specific goals in mind other that to show improvement in my game every time I tee up that Prov1, no less than three days a week.

    Why was the AVX ball named without the Pro V prefix, i.e. Pro V1a, etc.? It's like an orphan in the premium segment. Maybe Titleist would sell more.

    Originally preferred the soft feel of ProV1. Over the years, I have lost a little club head speed, and felt I needed a little more distance, so have been playing ProV1x for the last few. Have now tried the new 2021 ProV1 and I am back in love with this model. To me, feels a touch softer than the x, but flies as far and I can still spin it when I need to! Thanks Titleist!

    Couldn’t agree more. I’m still in the 80’s for speed. Agree with the guys at MySpy Golf based on my own testing. Softer balls for slower swingers don’t go as far. Period. At my speed, holding a green is harder with a lower launch and spin. The Pro-V’s make a difference.

    I have some old and some newer ProV1, actually about 8 dozen I would like to play the older ones first.
    Please tell me by the stamp ( the arrows) what year they were produced so I can play them in succession.

    Titleist recommends fitting from putter to driver. They also have experts on ball fitting for you to have a virtual fitting. See the tab on the web page to schedule a fitting. They will have better information than our personal opinions.

    I play with a couple of friends that swear the Velocity is longer. But they admit greens are harder to hold. I see them frequently putting from the back of the greens. Your ball - your game.

    I see no advantage with lining up the ball for putting with the name or the lines on the side of the ball. Is there any advantage?

    In past years I was fortunate enough to be chosen to test new prov’s and so far every new model that comes out has been an improvement from the previous version, I don’t know how Titleist can keep improving the best balls in the game but they do, thank you Titleist.

    I play the PV1x. I bought my first dozen of the new ball. I have noticed a two letter stamp on the balls! What does the stamp stand for?

    I heard the Prov1x left dash is the original version of the Prov1x. Is that accurate? I hope so because that was the best ball ever made.

    Have there been issues with the cover on the left dash? I played this weekend and every three or four holes I noticed a small cut on the cover of the ball. I haven't experienced that with the ProV1 or ProV1X, I can generally make it a full round before they show any markings.
