Recently earned some shop credit. But they didn’t have the X in yellow. The last shipment was shorted and they are hoping the next before they shut for the winter will have some. Next, the course is built between canals in a marsh. 14 holes are narrower than 40 yards and the rough is typically less than 5 yards before balls get swallowed by the marsh. Thought I’d try Velocity to not send so many X/V balls to a watery grave. Even if they didn’t go any straighter, it would cut the pain in half. A box store only had the mat green or orange. No white. Again hoping they would get some.

Can’t wait for the old normal - if that is even possible.

At least you have the opportunity to lose some balls, Don. In Melbourne, AU, we have been in lockdown for 7 weeks. Restrictions are supposed to ease on 23 September, however, playing golf is out of the question until October, I guess.
  3. Possible solution to the Watery Grave is to drop a club or two which usually will result in straighter flight. Sure helped my game after I got over my ego. So I had to take a longer club on the second shot. still was less than the penalty drops. Just saying.

Understand! Our course is having issues getting Titleist balls and at one point they were completely out. They doing a high volume in Titleist balls, seeing over 60K rounds a year. Our crew does a great job keeping it in good shape.
  5. Possible solution to the watery grave is to take less club which almost always results in straighter flight. Taking an extra club on the second shot is still less strokes than the penalties add up to. Just a thought. Sure helped my straightness once I got over my ego. ha ha ha
