Only when hitting a tree. Yellow color comes from tree bark. Seen it too many times before, unfortunately. Not a flaw in the ball.

I started playing the AVX this year and love it. I haven't seen any discolorizution.

Dale V. is correct! I kissed a Southern Pine last Saturday and have that same issues.

Left Wisconsin late November for Florida, Was told I received 3 new AVX's in the mail. I said leave them there and bought a sleve in FL to try. They just didn't feel right and couldn't get them to draw. Tried the Pro v1 and they felt and performed better. On chips and pitches they rolled out better than the AVX's, which I will try again.

Played it for the first time today and it was fantastic.. it was 40 degrees, windy, soft conditions and I crushed the heck out of it. It cut through the wind like butter

The new AVX is excellent! I was finally able to get my hands on a dozen and it does seem to stop sooner, but then, it wasn't a problem before. The new version seems to spin better on pitch shots, as well. As for the discoleration, it seems Titleist makes the current balls be a bit "off-white", much like the Pro Trajectory balata balls of the past. Personally, I like that.

I have put the new AVX into play and have been impressed with it's performance. Great distance, piercing ball flight, and low spin like the previous edition, along with more feel chipping and putting. I play a course with severe undulating bent greens, and the ball sticks where it hits, greatly improving my approach game. I have played them all, and this is the best performing product for my game. Thanks again, Titleist for giving me the best tools in the market to play a better game!
