…Sure. Titleist promotes AVX as lower spinning, lower launch, and softer feel than the V. Should the left dot V come to market, that would be another option. Tour Speed is yet another. Try a sleeve and work back from green to tee.

Alternate to the AVX if you want the lower spin on the longer irons and driver is the Pro V1x left dash. My swing speed is probably a little slower, but I have no problem backing up an approach with my wedges and getting plenty of spin.

But I think Don is right, if you don't need the height, the AVX is probably the better choice.

As an bit more information about the left dot Pro V1, while it will be a bit lower spin that the Pro V1 (between this and the AVX), it will definitely have a firmer feel/sound than the Pro V1 as well. Of course, only you can determine whether this makes a difference to you.

From what I've seen, the left dot ball is very helpful for golfers who spin short iron approaches back too much, especially into the wind, and definitely when the green slopes back toward the fairway as well. Golfers who try to hit knock down shots into the wind and see the ball balloon might also benefit from this ball.

So somewhere out there there are both pro v1 and v1x left dash and left dot (i.e 6 versions total)?

With your swing speed, the AVX may not be the best fit. It has a relatively low compression...around 80 I think. Wouldn't hurt to give them a try.

Golf balls are one of the only things still affordable in golf, so anyone who questions which ball is best suited to their game just needs to get a sleeve of each and hit the course. Alternate balls on each hole (it's legal) and determine which ball works best for you.
