  1. While cleaning out my closet, I came across an unused box of 2017 ProV1 balls. They’ve likely been there since they were bought. As they’ve been in a climate controlled room, do you think they’re still playable? Thanks in advance.

  2. I'm sure they are fine. I've got about 7 dozen from 2020 that I'm going to keep using up. I really want the newest, but I'm sure these are good enough in the mean time. You should use them when just playing rounds for fun, go get the newest for competition.

    Very much so. Several posts and stories about the modern solid golf balls not loosing their performance when kept in a controlled environment. That said, they will not have the benefits of the newer technology that has been added to newer balls.

    Should be ok to play for another 5 years. USGA runs tests on room temp and frozen for 10 years. High heat is the only real killer.

    The dimple pattern changed in 2021, so they will play different.
