Played 18 holes with the new ProV1 at our local course Painted Dunes. It is a desert course where the ball visited sandy oasis multiple times but don’t worry as you can see it made it home. The cover has a few nicks and the name is slightly wearing off on one spot but I did not see any degrading performance issues at all. Just what I come to expect with my ProV1.

Yep James. While they are not as super soft as the old balata balls I played as a young man, the only way to maintain the spin and feel we demand is to make the covers in a pliable material. My ball held up pretty well in San Diego but now that I am playing Phoenix desert courses, I find it much easier to scuff the ball. Between that issue and a few more water hazards at my new courses, I might be going through a few more balls than I did in the past. Small price to pay for enjoying Phoenix golf and still loving the ProV1x as my preferred ball.
