  1. I know everyone says keep same ball all year, but being a 13hdicp using prov1s on a soft course over winter is crazy as you can lose on fairways.. let alone rough as my ball flight is high!

What is the closest cheaper ball to this, i really like the trufeel but find my wedges tear it up a bit

There is no such thing as a close but cheap ball. The performance differences for each level of ball are significant and that is why there is a price differential. There are some companies that sell logo overruns at a discounted price if cost is an issue. Surprising that you say the TruFeel cover is not as durable as surlyn covered balls are documented as more durable than high spinning urethane covers on premium balls. If you loose any ball in the fairway, it might be time to look for a better maintained golf course or a drier climate.

Your Spring/Summer scores will thank you if you keep using a premium ball all the way through. The logo overrun idea is great for anyone wanting to be cost conscious.
  4. I’m liking the matte finish Bridgestone e12s in colder weather. The matte finish feels less hard off the tee and a little more grippy off the short irons.

Avoiding commentary on a Titleist sponsored site of a competitor’s ball versus the Tour Speed as a similar product, do note all matt balls don’t perform as well when wet. Be it Velocity or any other. They just don’t shed water the same.
