My experience from my now home course (simulator). At my speed, a degree or 2 lower launch but only a little shorter as the gizmo gave it a little more roll out. That simulator doesn’t provide spin numbers so I can’t tell if there is a difference. Both draw and hooked equally.
The feel felt more like a Pro-V1 than the original AVX version. Good feedback clap on a well struck shot. Same on putting. I couldn’t tell which one I used for a putt without looking. When playing on course, the system measures/estimates distance and direction. If the test ball was the last ball I found, I could make it my next ball to play, bit I’ll stay with my Pro-V1x.

When I returned, I immediately started playing with the test balls. I have to agree with you Fred. When I hit the ball the first, I noticed that the ball did travel farther. I also play the Prov1. Teeing it up at my normal position on the tee, the flight was a mid launch but with a lot of pop not only off the driver, but all the way down my metals/woods. Did not get the roll on the green that I was getting from my Prov1 with my chips, as well with my putter. They were coming up short. Whenever I hit into a false front it would stop instead of continuing like my Prov1 would. Not a ball that I would change to, have not been scoring as well with it on the short end. Hope this is not the premium ball they are changing to in 2024, under the new rules.

I'm loving the 2023 test balls. They are soft on course, simulator and indoor putting matt. Cannot wait to give them a few runs out on the course. They have been advertised as AVX's testing, which is DARN impressive knowing they aren't the player intended model but certainly feels like it!

After playing these for a couple rounds, I felt that they were maybe a little too soft for me. I have played the previous version of the AVX and really liked it until I used the current Pro V1. I like a soft feel but this one felt softer on all clubs for some reason and I just couldn't get past it. I did have one scuff pretty good on a spinny bunker shot. I would say more of a mid launch with lower spin on longer clubs. Approach shots hopped and stopped or spun back slightly. It's a good ball but I'll probably stick with the V1. As Chuck, I couldn't help but wonder if this was a test of the "roll back" ball.

I'll add here since I wasn't sure where to send feedback. It was an ok experience, but I liked the consistency with my normal ProV1x better. I usually play the left dash if I can find it.

Overall, good sound on iron shots, the putts were fine, and definitely seemed like a tad more distance at times. Also, as with others the spin and feel around the greens were not what I would like to play.
