I went through a fitting yesterday for the GT - that was great, as everyone has said before. I was talking with the fitter about ball flight and stuff like that and he recommended i use a different ball. He said to try the Pro V1 Left Dot - however this ball is unavailable on the website here. I wonder what the story is there, when they will be available if anyone has any ideas.

Shame on your fitter. Very limited availability of the left dot. It fits in-between the Pro-V1 and the AVX. Closer to the Pro-V1. The Titleist world was teased in an early trial release of the ball, but we're still waiting if it will become a general release or stay a limited edition for the pros. Like the X Left Dash was.

Very limited production as it has been a tour players option and not really a full retail line. For years the “dash” and “dot” were not advertised at all and only used by tour players. The “dash” became such a high demand ball that they now offer it to the general public although they did not update it during the last new ball cycle. The “dot” is viewed as a lesser demand ball so it may never get high enough production to be readily available.

They have not been available to the public for a long time. Expect the trend to continue.

I also went through a fitting. When the rep got through he recommended that I stay with Pro V1X . I do have a box of Titleist Pro V1X left dash and he said maybe n a hot dry day. I live in North Carolina ans Dicks sporting goods and Nevada Bobs carry those. The club that I am a member has several boxes. GOOD LUCK

Yeah I see what you're all saying. I am not new to golf so I understand how it works out there. Its unfortunate that's how it went with the fitter, however it was not a ball fitting. I was hitting drivers and we talked about balls a little bit. At the end when we did the order for the GT, he put a recommendation on the ball. Who knows, maybe someday Ill come across a sleeve!
  8. Tough to find in shops or online...the fitter should have provided you samples IMHO on such a limited production ball.

Well boys, my golf professional came through. He contacted the fitter and told them about the fitting and I’ve been given the opportunity to buy a couple dozen of the left dots! I’m excited to see what they are all about!
