  1. Right now I use a 50 degree wedge as my pitching wedge.  I like it because it averages out a pitch and a gap.  If I got a 46 and bent it 1 or 2 degrees strong for a 9 iron would it dig in too much?  Would it reduce the bounce too much?  could I grind the leading edge to get some more bounce?

    Thanks

You can get a 46 Vokey and bend it 1-2 degrees strong.  The bounce will go from 46.08 to 45.07 or 44.06 which may or may not be enough bounce for you.  It will depend on your technique at impact.  Fpr example, the AP1 has 5 (but more offset than the other iron models), AP2 9 iron has 6 degrees of bounce on it and the CB has 7.

44-06 would be good and that would be nice for picking the ball off tight lies.   For instance, an Eye 2 9 iron is 45* and just about any player iron is 43*.   AP1 is 41*

Also keep in mind that a specialty wedge (such as a Vokey) generally gets about  5 or so yards less than an equivalent loft iron.  You may have to learn how to play a choke down shot on the 8 iron (not hard to do).

  4. Can you make a titleast 9 iron, that looks like a volkey wedge ?......
