What is the size of the fairway woods? I've read all over the internet that the 15' 917 F2 is 179 CC, but I can't seem to find what the club head size (CC) for the 16.5, 18, and 21 fairway woods are. Also, does the 15' and 16.5' fairway woods have the same head size?

Hi Mark, On the915's, the 18 and 21 were approximately 20 cc's smaller than the 3 woods, but on the 917 fairways, the head sizes are approximately all the same within 4cc's.

I'm trying to get an idea of size versus another company. I really want to buy these, I was hoping they were larger than the 915F, so this is good news. I'm SO excited to see these....any way to get exact CC specs?

Were you able to find the CC size of the 917 F2 fairway woods?

    Mark,

You can get a rough estimate of the cc size of a metal head by filling a 2 cup pyrex measuing cup that measures milliliters. Fill the measuring cup to the brim with water. Carefully place the pyrex cup into a dry pan that can accomodate it size without spillling any water. Now, very slowly insert the club into the pyrex cup filled with water resulting in water overflowing the cup into the pan. Carefully lift the pyrex cup out of the pan and discard the remaining water from the pyrex cup into a sink. Now, carefully pour the water that spilled from the pyrex cup into the pan back into the empty pyrex cup to find out the volume of water the club head displaced. This is how big the metal head is. Keep in mind that 1 milliliter of water is equivalent to 1 cc (cubic centimeter). By using a pyrex cup with fine measurement graduations, you can achieve a good estimate of the club head size.
You could even measure the displaced water with a measuring syringe or basting syringe which has fine graduations for more precise measurements.
