    Hi Titleist,

I am very intrigued about the one length clubs. I am very keen to hear a club expert view on this.

I am a hard core Titleist fan and will change to another brand for my clubs. Is this something that the Titleist team are looking at?

One of friends is a classic engineer :-) he made a one length set from one many set of Titleist clubs (704CB). He still working on the lie, loft etc. but its working. I tried the clubs and I have to say it felt pretty good especially for the long clubs (3 and 4) was just so easy to hit. We didn't look at the distance. I love using my 3 and 4 iron (Titleist 660 with stiff shafts), but are struggling and on a bad it becomes a very low procent shot.

I am keen to hear you views? Thanks

I think it is all about choices and results. Would recommend trying them and getting on trackman and seeing what your results are. There is only one tour player using them. How many tournaments has he won with them? I do not know anyone who has played them. With respect and good luck.

As Chuck noted... Check the latest issue of Golf or Golf Digest that has an article about irons and includes the OEM single length in the review. Summary - they may be best for someone that has never played golf but require adaptation for those of committed to multi-length. Many comment that maybe the best setup may be 3 lengths - 3-4-5-6 on a 6 iron, 7-8-9 on an 8 iron, and all wedges the length of a GW. I'll let someone else be the pioneer. The experiences of one golfer over 6' in height may not translate to the average American at 5'9". Converting a multi-length to single length has issues with optimizing loft, and potentially not being able to adjust lie for the length. Current lofts take into consideration the swing arc of differing lengths. If the fad becomes a movement and I lose rotation due to age, I'll reconsider then.

I have tried them, and hit all 3 irons 5,7,9 very well, the consistent set up for someone that is 6'5 was very easy. That said, Titleist will remain my iron of choice.

But a set of AP2 One Lengths....yummmm!! A guy can dream can't he!!
  5. I’ve really like the idea of one length. It makes too much sense to me. Didn’t know that Bobby Jones used one length back in the day.. if titleist came up with something, I promise I’d be first in line to buy an entire bag! Maybe some AP2s or AP3s or those lovely CNCPT irons I’ve seen pictures of, and a way to get Vokey wedges to marry up to it! Let’s get R@D on this!

One length clubs were tried in the 80's but didn't last long. I realize many advances have been made since then but I think I will pass.
