Hi Tom, You are not getting the run around. True Temper has had some issues fulfilling all the LZ orders that have been placed. The quote dates you have been given are the quote dates we received from True Temper, but have been re-quoted when they were unable to fulfill the orders. We apologize for the delay, but as soon as the shafts arrive and pass our QA inspection, we will build and ship.

    Cathi,
It has been 8 weeks since I ordered a set of 716-TMB with True Temper XP-90 (s300) shafts. I am told the heads have been on back order and there have been 3 delivery promises. The last delivery promise for the heads is 7/27/17. Has this happened?

Hi Jack, Thank you for your patience. The heads did arrive on the 27th and cleared inspection on the 28th. All orders (in order of first in, first out) are in line to be built and the first orders should ship today and the last most current orders will be finished by Wednesday.

Thanks Cathi for the quick response and I didn't think it was a Titleist issue, just excited to get the new sticks!! Thanks again, another example of the Titleist top notch service!! The project X lz 5.5 were awesome and a great fit for me!!

Hi Tom, We are hoping to get them in by tomorrow or early next week. Once they arrive, they will go through a piece by piece inspection and then they will be released for building. Check with your pro, but all the orders that have been patiently waiting have been upgraded to FF.
  6. Looking to purchase new AP2's and have a fitting on Saturday. Excited to get the new sticks in the bag and on the course. Have not considered whether I will go with the TT DG S300's or the Project X LZ shafts - waiting for the fitting to dial in on the best fit. I am, excited and intrigued by the reviews I have read about the Project X LZ shaft, but also concerned about how long it might take to get my new clubs if I were to order with these shafts. Does anyone have any input on the timeline I could be looking at if I order my new clubs with the Project X LZ shafts?

ASloan and Dan, I called Titleist and they told me that the 5.5's should be in at the end of next week, go through their approval process, then build and ship!! I'm still probably 2-3 weeks out!!

Dan, they are back ordered on the 5.5 and 6.5's, they said the 6.0's were available for build!!

ASloan, I loved the lz, pretty much like the Nippon 1150's I have in my miz 64's!! Good luck guys!!

    Tom B,
    Thanks for the help!
  10. I'm glad I went with the Nippon ns pro modus3 tours instead of the LZ 5.5... didn't realize the LZ were on backorder. Nippon feel like butter(I've played them 4 rounds so far and they go straight as an arrow and perfect ball flight.)

Ordered a 716 CB/MB Combo Set w/ Project X LZ 6.5's on 2/27 when I was given a ship date of 3/6. I was told for 3 weeks straight that the shafts, "should be here Monday." Monday turned into Friday, Friday turned to Monday, Monday turned to Friday and so on. Monday (4/10) I called and was told there wasnt an exact time table for when the shafts would be available. I cancelled the order this past within minutes of that statement. Albeit a short 5 years, this will be the first time since I started playing golf that I will not have at least 13 Titleist branded clubs in the bag. I get that it's not Titleist's fault that the shafts were on back order, but it would have went miles if I was told from the get-go that they weren't sure when they would be in. In any other scenario, I keep my 714 AP2's and SM5s in the bag until I receive the CB/MBs, and my order stands while I wait AND I eventually place an order for 3 SM6s and 4 Dozen ProV1s... 900 Tours and 3 T7 wedges will be here Friday, with the PX LZ 6.5s installed. 6 dozen B330-S showed up today.

Hi, The PX LZ 6.0's arrived and passed QA inspection so those irons are being built and shipped. All LZ shafts have to pass a Quality Assurance inspection when they arrive before we will release them for building. We are currently waiting on the next shipment of 5.5 and 6.5's to arrive.
When an order is placed, we give the dates that we are given to us from the shaft OEM and assume the shafts are going to ship on those dates and that once they arrive, they will pass inspection. If the shafts don't ship on that date or they don't pass inspection, it puts us behind because we expect them and quote ship dates based on that information. In the case of the LZ's, these have been behind for several months and we have contacted the pro shops and let them know that there is an issue. On national accounts, we let them know when their order is placed and also give them updates, sometimes daily.
On the 5.5 and 6.5, we have been told that they have shipped and we are awaiting their arrival. Hopefully, they arrive today or (as the office is closed tomorrow) first thing next week. Once they go through our QA inspection and pass, we hope to get the waiting irons built and shipped. They will be built in order of first in, first out.
Ry, I apologize for any confusion. We don't want to tell a player we don't know when a shaft will be available when we have a ship date expected from the shaft OEM. Unfortunately, even though we have dates, they can, in rare circumstances, be a moving target.

I have had a very similar experience to RC. I placed an order for a set of T-MB's on March 3 with LZ 6.5. Still waiting. Been told that a new shipment of LZ's are "coming Monday" at least four times. It's hard to believe because I ordered 3 SM6's with the same shaft on march 7 and they came in a week.

Now I'm stuck because if I cancel or change the T-MB, they won't match/feel consistent with the wedges.

I've already missed 2 golf trips, and the weather here in Indy is getting nice and I still don't have the irons, which were ordered before the wedges that I received. Extremely frustrated.

HI Brad, The 6.5 and 6.0 flexes should be in good shape as they did arrive and pass inspection. The irons are being released today and are being built in a first in, first out schedule.

I was just informed by Golf Galaxy that shafts for my AP1's are on back order again. Apparently the shafts Titleist received a few days ago did not pass their inspection. So its going to be another two weeks or more before I receive my clubs. My order was placed on March 29th. This is so frustrating. A week ago I sold my old irons. Golf league starts in two weeks. This sucks!!!

I just ordered some AP2s today with Project X LZ 5.5. Are these still backordered?

    Hi Jim
The LZ 5.5's are back in stock and your order should ship in the normal 3-4 days after we receive the order.
  20. Military
So apparently these weren't in stock as I've now been told they were expected on 6/2, 6/9, and now today. Can you tell me if these shafts came in today? One of the most frustrating custom order experiences I've ever had with the lack of communication.

Hi Jim, The LZ shafts were in stock on May 15th, but were quickly used by new orders. I have sent you a note asking you for details so that we could look into your order.

I ordered the T-100s back in June through my club. Titleist transitioned the orders to the new model two weeks later. I was initially supposed to receive them on August 25th, the launch date. After August 25th came and went my pro inquired and was told the Project X LZ 6.0 were back ordered until September 9th. When that date also passed we inquired again and were informed it was now September 29th that Titleist would receive the shafts. I guess what I don't understand (as a logistics guy) is that Titleist must order thousands of shafts at a time from True Temper. I would think that they would insist on being made aware of where, in-process, their shaft orders stand. If that is the case, why isn't the customer (me) informed that his iron order will be delayed until after the delivery date with a "the shafts didn't come in" response.
