purchasing a driver head without the shaft

    just wondering if anyone can help me out in finding out if it is possible to buy just the driver head without getting a shaft so i can just reuse the shaft i have in my current driver to maybe reduce the cost of upgrading my driver if the performance warrants the change

    Titleist does not sell components. Only fully built clubs to ensure warranty.

    Titleist only sells complete (all club heads) drivers w/shafts. If it is any consolation, the 917 price appears to be about $100 less than the price at introduction. When the next series (919?) is released in September, the price will rise again.

    You need to buy the entire driver, with the shaft. I suggest you fo to a Titleist Thursday and get fitted. Order the driver with that shaft and then you know you have one that works. You can then try the shaft you already have.

    You cannot purchase just the head from Titleist. Purchase what you want with a shaft from Titleist and then sell the shaft to help offset the overall cost. Oh yeah, you should also get fitted before purchasing.

    thanks for the comments guys bit unlucky that i can't just get the driver head on its own since i have the ust elements platinum shaft in my current titleist driver so would just be using that shaft in a newer model head if it performed better than what i have in the bag but the reselling the shaft option seems like the way to go
