    I have a Titleist 913 D3 driver (Certi fied Authenticate #AK308123). In the past 2 weeks I hear a noise from inside the head like something broken or loose. The noise only occurs when the ball is struck at impact. If I shake the club in hand no noise is evident. What is the best method to have this repair done. I live in the Orlando,FL area and do not know of any quality shops that would be able to make the necessary repair. In fact I believe there is not a method to get inside the head.

    Your advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Personally I wouldn't bring it into a repair shop but an authorized Titleist dealer and let them handle it. They can contact Titleist and see what the best route is for any repair if necessary.

    I'd assume if you had a repair shop try and fix the problem and something goes wrong then it'd definitely negate any warranty claim.

    Contact a Titleist retailer and they will be able to get it sent back to Titleist for repair.

    Allen, you should be able to find some shop in the Orlando area that works on older clubs. It's not that rare for small pieces of glue or lead to break loose over time. The fact that the driver is a 2013 model and two (soon to be three) models have superseded this model, you would expect to start seeing some minor issues. In fact, it might be cheaper to replace with another used 913 head than the cost of repair or move on to a more current driver. Great prices on the 917's as they start to clear out to make room for the new TS2/TS3.

    I'm not aware of any driver head being repairable, and at 5-6 years old, it is long out of warranty. Sounds like you can still use it for now, while you plan your upgrade path.
