Just an update after a brief range session...
I was expecting about 10 yards gain for each iron, but I actually gained 20+ yards with the 8 iron! While more forgiving, higher launching and tight dispersion. (Coming from a set of miz MP57) I guess a combination of stronger loft and better fitted shafts helped a lot.

Now I have to start getting my actual yardage for each iron. Hopefully there is not too big of a gap between the AP3 wedge and the SM7 wedge.

Oh, the SM7 wedge is unreal around the green! It’s hard to believe wedges can be improved. I always thought wedges are the same, and only need to upgrade when the grooves are worn. I don’t know what they did design wise, but the new wedge seems to make a more solid contact every time, compared to my old SM5.

Very satisfied for the purchase so far, can’t wait to actually go out to play!

What is your nearest gap wedge in the SM7? Because the P-wedge in the AP3's is 43*, so you're next gap wedge should be 48* (5* separation)
I have the exact setup as well. Love the AP3's! I also have the T-MB 4-iron, which is one of the best long irons I have ever gamed. So easy to hit & launch really high.

I recently purchased the AP3's as well. I had the same dilemma with the Gap Wedge being 48 deg. I ended up purchasing a 52 degree SM7. I then had my 54 SM6 checked and found out it was actually 55 degrees. My understanding is that you may find a +/- 1 degree variance on wedges lofts. I also have a 58 degree lob wedge. I know this is a little close with only a 3 degree difference in lofts. But, it works for me! Hope this helps and congrats on the new clubs. You'll fall in love quickly with the feel and distance.

I have the AP3 gap wedge that is 48 degrees. So, the set is 4 to PW + 48, then SM7 53 S and 58 M.
I’ve played a round on Tuesday, all I can say is I have to spend some time to dial in the distance.
