  1. I've switched from my old AP2's to new 718 MB's.

There 1/2 inch longer and 1 degree upright.

Striking them well, getting a much nicer trajectory than the AP2's which i'd send airborne but losing out a touch in distance.

I don't want to spend more money on vokey wedges or 3 Wood / 2 Iron to fix new gaps that have emerged as a result.

I want to make these irons (4-PW) stronger lofts and reduce the loft angle throughout the clubset by 2 degree.

I know that loft change affects bounce but I am a sweeper anyway unless i'm playing 8/9/pw so it actually got me thinking the bounce change which could lead to slightly more digging won't be much of an issue anyway?

I'm hitting these irons pure and getting them up is no issue at all but i've lost the best part of 1/2 to 1 club on what I was hitting with the AP2's with the same loft characteristics.

Can anyone see this being much of an issue?

I personally wouldn’t mess with bending your clubs and changing the lofts and bounce. I would trade in the old clubs or sell them and use that money towards new Vokey’s. If you can’t afford them now, just save and wait a bit.
  3. I didn't think there would be much difference in the lofts between the 2 sets, it's not like the AP1's and C16 which are much stronger lofts.

I think the difference is in your shafts. If you can , try to go to a Titleist Thursday and see if they have different shafts available for the MB's to try. you may find that could make the difference.
