Why bother Richard? seriously, it's not going to effect the performance of the club, and possibly going to happen again, just ask your local pro if he can do anything to it, maybe buff out the scratch a little

No way to match the serial number but you can buy individual irons. I cant imagine why you would want to replace it. Over time every iron in your bag should have some battle scars. As long as they don't effect the face or the leading edge, you should be good to play on. Shame that this time a hidden rock in the fairway got you.

I sympathise entirely but as David says above, it could easily happen again...
Imagine how annoying it would be if you got a new PW and it happened again.

Have to admit, I get irritated with stones in bunker sand that damage your grooves, but
I'm one of those who puts head covers on irons to stop dinging them...
but in my defence, I have a mate who swears that people are clanging their clubs as they walk, on purpose, just to put him off, which sort of accounts for my paranoia.

As long as it doesn’t effect performance (like on the face or grooves) then I don’t see why you would replace it. I used to be a little golf ocd and wanted my clubs to always look brand new. Every time I got a scratch, it bothered me greatly. With a little help and reading some posts on here over the years I’ve learned to consider them battle scars. All clubs need battle scars. They’re meant to be played and not hung on a wall. Each scar on my clubs has a story. Some good and some bad. For example, the little scratches on the toe of my 8 iron. That was from the far right bunker on #18 at Bethpage black. Obviously toed it out of the sand, but somehow managed to get it on the green and I saved par. Those battle scars add personality. Keep the club. Good luck!

The seal is broken! Now you have your designated sacrificial iron for any shots on questionable surfaces or near rocks. Agree that if it didn’t impact the face or playability, you keep it. I know how you feel though, scratches on new sticks are day ruiners.

AP2's are attractive looking clubs and any damage is not good

I watched the Titleist guys grind out a damaged wedge at Turnberry in the truck recently so maybe they could suggest something to help you

When pros get their wedges grinded they usually have a raw finish. If Richard were to get this club grinded, it would affect the chrome finish.

Consider it as a battle scar. Use it proudly.

Ditto - battle scars usually turn into stories about "incredible shots." Wear it proudly and hopefully fairways are more kind to you in the future.

Are the Serial numbers and the ferrules on the 718 AP2's different from prior models? The serial numbers look like they're laser etched?
