    Can AP1s be bent approximately 1* more upright without having to worry about breaking?

    HI Jim, It depends on what lie angle they are currently. We recommend 2° maximum and would advise having us do the bending. However, if for time concerns, etc., you choose to have your local shop bend them, make sure you understand their Warranty policy as we won't warranty anyone else's work.

    Thank you Cathi. I just had my AP1s checked for loft and lie by our club pro. These were custom clubs purchased about 18 months ago. We found the length to be spot on but loft and lie were off on most clubs. They do not match the specs based on my fitting. Being a tall player with lie off .5 to 1 degree have an impact on contact and ball flight. Same is true with loft off 2 degrees.

    What is the best way to verify and correct these differences between actual and custom specs?

    Hi, Have your pro set up a Warranty inspection by our team here in Carlsbad. In general, if your pro's machine is showing that all lofts are off by 2°, it may be likely his machine is off, but we can check that for both of you.

    It is also true as Ben says, that if you hit a lot of balls (especially on mats over concrete), the repetitive striking can cause the head to bend, but we won't know that until we check.

    Cathi, I have had my AP1s for about a year and a half. I had my local golf shop pro check all the specs against the custom specs of my clubs. He found all the length to be spot on but the was a lot of variance in both loft and lie. Being a tall player, a variance of .5 to 1 degree on lie makes a huge impact on the shot characteristics. Also a variance in loft by 1-2 degrees effects gap between clubs.

    What is the best way to verify and changes differences in actual measurements and custom specs?

    I have found that your lofts and sometimes lie will change over time as you use the clubs and especially if you take a divot. As your club grabs the ground, it will put pressure to bend the loft more strong.

    I therefore check and adjust every 6 months or so.

    You really need a loft/lie machine to check accurately.
