  1. Hello guys and gals,

I know Titleist allows us (well at least they use to) send in irons for 1 free lie and loft check with purchase of a new set. I have not done that yet since I purchased my 718 AP2's. Does anyone know if we can have those specs altered instead of just being set back to the original purchase specs?

Basically I'd like to strengthen my lofts 1* (maybe 1.5-2*). Just curious if anyone knows if this is an available option when sending them in? I remember with my 716 AP2's that at the time I could only send them to Titleist through an authorized dealer as well, is that still the case?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Happy holidays to all. Ryan

I asked my local pro the same question about my 716 AP2's last year because I read somewhere on this site that Titleist offer a free loft & lie check after the first year of purchase, providing they were purcased from Titleist. He was told that this facility is not available in the U.K. only in the States.
I think this is very unfair especially as we spend a lot of money for our equipment why should the States get preferable treatment.

I'm on the understanding that if you want any alterations made on your irons then they have to go back to Titleist through your dealer. If you have your lofts altered +/- then it will alter the bounce by the same +/-.

That stinks about the whole UK thing. I wonder if you pay both ways of shipping that it'd be possible? That's my thinking maybe its just the cost of shipping to the UK costs to much for free work, I could see that possibly being a problem.
