  1. Hi There!

Just had a question about Vokey Wedges.  Do all models have a serial number in the same spot (hosel)?  My friend bought his Vokeys from a reputable Golf Store and does not have a serial number on the Hosel, did Titleist move the serial number on the 2010 Vokeys?

    Thanks,

    Walter

  2. Hi Walter -

Our Vokey wedges are stamped with a serial number located on the hosel of the club-head.  This will either be a 5 character combination of letters and digits (custom club) or just 7 digits (stock club).   This location has not changed on the current model.

    Hi Nick,

I recently tested several of the Titleist demo wedges that I got from the local Titleist dealer to try out. I ended up ordering the Titleist Vokey 52-08 BW Spin Milled Oil Can C-C wedge. Last week he dropped one off but I returned it unopened as it was different slightly from the demo wedge I tried and liked.

Today I picked up my new wedge from the pro shop at my local golf course. It has NO SERIAL NUMBER on it. I paid full price expecting a genuine Titleist wedge. I only noticed that it is missing the serial number once I got home. The club is still in the plastic wrapping, I have not removed it.

I am concerned that this is a non genuine wedge, as your comments above indicate that ALL Titleist wedges have serial numbers on them! My previous (old 54-10) wedge certainly has one! I am especially concerned as this new wedge came from the local Titleist Dealer!!!

Could you please clarify the situation?

    Best regards

    Andrew

  4. I also purchase a set of AP2's and two vokey wedges around 3-4 years ago. I was fitted on a titleist fitting day and purchased from my proshop - an authorised dealer. None of the clubs have a serial number on them... not even wedges. I am in Australia also. Surely these are genuine clubs when sent to pro from Titleist???

  5. MAY I ASK IF THERE IS A REGISTER OF THE SERIAL NUMBERS ANYWHERE IN ORDER TO CHECK MY WEDGES ARE GENUINE
  6. I just picked up some SM9's and tried to register them on Titleist.com and it comes up with the wrong finish and the wrong loft for one and "We were unable to locate any club details associated with serial number 6038229. Please contact 1-888-TITLEIST for further assistance."

The driver comes up .. "Drivers 1571505 T200ii Custom Irons"
Fairway Wood comes up .. "Fairways 1435715 T200ii Custom Irons"

Really leaves me wondering if any of this brand new store-bought products is legit.

Did you call the number provided to see what Titleist response was? Trying to think back on a discussion we had years ago on this very subject. Thinking Titleist related serial numbers begin with either a 0 or a 1. Maybe some of our other long term members can shed some light on this.
  8. I know that Titleist recycles serial numbers (most times I register a club there are a few matches for each number) so make sure you look at the whole list.

  10. I have a SM10 Nickel finish 54.08M Vokey Design wedge without a serial number. Do the vokey design wedges have serial numbers?
