  1. Hi All,

New TT member here. I’m anticipating making the switch from TM to Titleist after playing TM for my whole life. I was set on the AP1’s, but after hearing good things about the new M6 irons, I tried those. Now I’m on the fence. The launch monitor numbers are almost identical. The differences are forgiveness (TM is a bit more forgiving) and feel (AP1 is slightly more balanced and has better feel and sound when hitting it flush).

Has anyone else done similar comparison testing?

    Thanks.

The vast majority of us would rather cut a hickory stick and tie on an AP2 head before comparing to OEM equipment not named Titleist. Some place for comparing across lines would be GolfWRX. That said, I started with 712 AP1's because I liked the appearance better than a G15. I'm also LH, so it is easier to get fit with png or Titleist. I've never looked back on using Titleist equipment. My current bag is AP3's and I've rented 718 AP1's, and they both easy to hit and work well with my mid-handicap game. I can easily get fit, LH is not a problem, and I won't hate this design in 2 years.

Welcome to TT . I to was been a TM player in the past. I have moved to Titleist a piece at a time . I can't speak to the M6 never hit them . My choice of the 718 Ap1 irons were based on accuracy and being or nimble or workable especially in the 8-pw,gw . Maybe the Tm irons were longer but scoring is the game and the Ap1"s deliver on that.
The whole bag is Titleist now .
