AP 1's with Graphite shafts

    Just weighed my last set miz's (6 iron) 444 grams stiff shaft (too much club for me now), my current set Adams (6 iron) 416 grams regular steel shaft. Considering AP-1's with graphite (regular shaft) hitting ball speeds around 110 with a six iron, how lite can I get. Any opinions? I'm an 8, would like get back to a 5.

    Titleist stock graphite shaft is 57 grams in regular, typical 6 iron head weight is 260 grams and 52 gram grip would be reasonable to assume so that totals 369 gram- Titleist head weights could be different, but I wouldn't expect a significant difference. Best to think in terms of swing weight you want and specify same when you order- a Titleist fitting is the best way to ensure you get the best fit for your swing
