Hi folks. I’m new here and I came about this group while searching for specs regarding a new 2 iron. I have been playing an old 695z mb 2 iron with a DG S300 shaft. I loved the pure feeling and could rip the club off the tee. Recently I purchased a new 718CB 2 iron with a project x 6.0 shaft to go with my new 718CB 3-p (project x 6.0) and to be honest, I absolutely hate the club. Despite hitting it dead center, it feels like I’m hitting a rock (I use ProV’s). I’m not sure if its the club, the shaft or what, but I miss the beautiful buttery feeling of perfect contact with my old club. Is this coming from the forging/molding process? Is this the shaft? A defect? Or simply a guy stuck in the past? I’ve considered trying the TMB 2 iron to see if it feels any different. For me, this is a big issue/decision because I play a 2 iron off the tee quite often. I would appreciate any insight!
