  1. I love cleaning my clubs after every round. I find it very relaxing and therapeutic. Sometimes it helps me relive my round and remember my good shots and bad shots with a specific club. Like, "Oh 5 Iron, you were a good boy today." Or, "I like you 7 Iron, but you let me down on hole 7 today." You know, total normal stuff like that. Here are my freshly cleaned irons. AP3 4-PW, SM7 48 10.F, SM7 54 08.M, and SM7 60 12.D.

Cleaning your clubs... Great! Being a bit OCD, I lean towards that. Talking to your clubs in the process.... that's a bit scary. Just kidding. I usually talk to mine too, but its immediately after the shot. BTW, nice set.
  3. The time to worry is when they answer you and question your swing on the shot!

Fortunate to have a club cleaner/ball washer on my golf cart so they get immediate care after every shot, not to mention a clean ball after every hole out.

Nice set, I always clean my clubs after a round of golf due to the places I hit the ball. Hazards, tall weeds, 100 acre woods looking for Winnie The Pooh. If I found more fairways I might only have to clean some of my clubs, but I have 14 and I am not afraid to use them all.

My grips MCC4 Plus I clean once a month so they stay in good shape. I talk tot he ball more than then my clubs, maybe that is part of my problem I'm talking to the innocent one of the bunch.....

I have a guy who has never cleaned his clubs that I can tell and i don't know why other than he says after a round he wants to relax??

  7. Darryl,
You've paid for them all, it would be rude not to use them all.

I clean my clubs after each round, I want them to be in the best condition for my next game, as for talking to them, I don't think I would admit to that even if I did, but I don't!!

Do they ever talk back to you, I guess they'd be asking for new grips if they did!!
  9. Should always keep your weapons clean and looking new. Look good play good.

I clean mine after every round and when my son goes with me I have him do it. I feel the same way about seeing dirty clubs - why?

I love cleaning my clubs (all 14 Titleist's) after every round or practice session when I get home from the club. I usually do it 6 or 7 days a week. I have a nice cleaning station set up in the garage. I sit in an office chair just outside the door and clean each club, starting with my wedges, with loving care. I too, relive my rounds and think about how I played with each club earlier in the day, the good shots and the not-so-good ones. I like to do it as the sun gets low. I live in farm country, so there are often beautiful sunsets. It is truly a relaxing experience for me and gets me excited for the next day's round.

Don't forget to clean your grips often too. I clean mine on those days I am enjoying myself so much that I don't feel like stopping after cleaning my last club (usually my 3W). Sometimes, to extend my personal time with my Titleist babies, I will clean out the pockets and reorganize my mid-staff bag.

So, Darrin, I totally get it!

I try to make sure I have clean clubs. Dirty grooves have a effect on the ball. Grips are especially important as your hands have a lot of dirt and oils on them and it is the only point of contact between you and your clubs.
BTW Darrin, good looking set of clubs!!

Must admit I do like to keep clubs clean and enjoy cleaning them.......my three playing partners however I think rarely clean theirs.............but I’m the only titleist player out of us so it’s maybe just a superior brand thing lol.
  15. love my Ap1's so much I keep headcovers on them! with graphite $150 per stick you damn right they get tender loving care!! and ya after every shot they get a good wipe, my misses thinks I love them more then her - I told her it's pretty even hahahaha
  16. I also love cleaning my clubs. It makes me think of each club and some shots I have hit or wish I would have hit. LOL. I like my gear looking good. Probably comes from years playing old junk clubs. Now I have a set I am proud of.

In the past i have been known for not really cleaning the clubs between rounds. Since i have gotten my new AP1's I can't help but clean em after every round. Want to keep them looking sharp as long as possible.
  18. I keep a wet towel with me when I play & wipe them down during my round. Also give them (irons only) a really good cleaning with mild soap. water & a soft brush about once a month. Driver & fairway woods just soap, water & towel no brush. Makes a big difference in my opinion & it goes a long way too

I also keep a wet towel with me when I play and keep the clubs clean DURING the round. My club also cleans cleans them after the round. This is when I ride. Often, I use a caddie, who will keep the clubs clean after each shot. In addition, he/she will also clean clubs for other group members that are riding if backups or while waiting for them to hit.
