  1. I hit TM for years but would love to try something new. I know Titleist is a great brand and am interested in what you all would recommend for someone 6 foot 1 inch, big shoulders, 27 years young, handicap of about 9-11?

I would see a club fitter or consult your local PGA professional.
You can also go to the Titleist fitting day"s event page to find a site near you. www.titleist.com/events

I really enjoy my 718 AP1's i was fit into.
  6. Go to a Titleist Thursday event and get fit! No sense paying $1000+ for irons off the rack. Everyone is different, and the fitter will find the combo best for YOU.
  7. i play titleist ap714 xp95stiff shafts i swing 7iron 80 mph everything says shaft is to strong but i play them great i dont know why
  8. I saw the new concept clubs and I want fitted and get a set please.

There are other threads on the Cncpt irons and you apparently need to talk to your pro shop to talk to a rep. A specialist will then connect you for a personal fitting. But at a half G per iron, expect more.
  10. I would have to agree with everyone above, go get fitted. I was fitted into 718 AP3's coming from AP1's that I used to use. It has completely changed my game and it wouldn't have had I not been fitted first. It is worth the time to go and try them out and see what works best for you.
  11. Don't forget you can combo across the AP sets (and other Titleist models) to optimise the irons and set your gaps.
I use AP2, AP3 & T-MB irons to cover my gaps and teeing requirements.
I'm significantly shorter than you so my bats are 2* flat - You would probably require Upright... which is why fitting is the way to go.

I agree with Bill's advice; get fit. If you buy off the rack you might be leaving some distance and accuracy on the table.

Don't put too much stock in your size, age, handicap. You could have a low handicap as a great driver and putter but play mediocre irons. Pick your irons based on what you are trying to accomplish (more distance, more consistency, feel, shot-making, etc.). Have that conversation with your fitter so you start out with a goal in mind. From there you will get a few options and be matched in shafts and flex that fit your size and swing characteristics. Enjoy! You will love the results.
  14. Go and get custom fit! I went to the national fitting centre for my irons with an open mind. I was fitted for 818 h1 21deg, 4iron tmb, ap2 5-pw!

The best thing i ever done! It was so good i booked in again for a new driver and 3wood!

You should do it... and do it properly
