917 vs TS

    been gaming a tour issue 917 F2 15º paired to Atmos Black 8X. really like it. surprisingly easy to hit, distance is very reliable in spite of my crappy swing. question is what's expected with TS to 917? should i stay as there's no problem or definitely move on to TS cuz it's even better?

    Depends... Best way to find out is doing a fitting. Get the data from TrackMan and try to do an outdoor fitting so you can get the best feedback. Some people have experienced major benefits and others not so great. I got a little more distance, not a ton, but got much better accuracy. Probably as much about the shaft change as it was the head.

    I switched from 917 F2 16.5 with rogue silver to TS2 16.5 with evenflow white. I still will keep my 917 as a back up for a little bit, but I was consistently getting 8 more yards off the ground and 12 yrds more off the tee. That was good enough for me to switch. I will see how that translates to the course. I was thinking I would like the TS3 but I did not hit that as well.

    I tried 917 but couldn't get on with it... Didn't buy.
    Now I have been fitted for a TS3 which I love
    Some TT folk have stuck with a range of earlier models - Some have even tried other brands - Each to their own.
    All you can truly do is try the new line and see if they suit.
