  1. Playing golf yesterday and hitting a 4 iron from fairway. Head come off of shaft and ball goes about 25 yards. Didn’t hit anything but the ball. The shaft or club head isn’t damaged. I bought these Tour AD 65i Flex R new and have really enjoyed them. But I’m kind of surprised this happened. Any ideas what I should do or what I could do to fix it. Thanks. John

Being that they are 6-7 years old, epoxy could be an issue, especially if they were in hot and cold conditions over time. Take it to any golf repair shop for a quick and easy fix. If you really like them and are not considering a newer model, might have all of them re-epoxyed just to save you the worry over future issues with the other irons. This would be an issue no matter who produced the irons. Epoxy over time fails; age, heat, impact, all contribute to those failures.

At the 2012 USGA Women's Open, the daily temps were over 100 (not common in WI) and I kept the clubs (AP1 712) in the trunk while I was working the Open. Could have easily been over 140 in there. Playing the Irish course (102F) I had a couple of odd shots with the 8 Iron. Third time was a charm - the head went further than the ball. I didn't blame Titleist and I now keep the clubs in my hotel room when not playing.
