  1. Hey guys, I am a junior golfer who has played the game for quite some time. A few years ago I was given a set of used AP1’s. I have gotten a lot better since then and knowing that the AP1’s are game improvement irons, I was wondering if I should make a switch. Thanks

Go to a Titleist Thursday and have a fitting. If there is a significant improvement with another iron then make the change. If not, save some cash and play with what you have.

The only reason to switch is because you want to. Go get fit from a certified Titleist fitter. That's the only way you'll know if it's viable for you to switch. Don't worry about the label "Player Iron" or "Game Improvement". I know a guy that's +1 and he games AP1s.

I would suggest you go to a Titleist Thursday fitting day and see what happens. You may have the right clubs and shafts or you may find something better. Whatever happens you need to get fit for the clubs that will help your game the most. Good luck!!
  5. The best thing is to get fitted. I would recomend if you want to improve your swing and strike the CB or mb, they are less forgiving but have more feel. You are able to shape shots easier and will notice miss hits more which is a good thing to improve. To hit them constant you have to hit centre strike a for me makes them the real game improvement iron as you have to improve to use them. Don't be put off by a difficulty level I used swoosh Pro combos as a junior and not the greatest ball striker. My friends had the so called game improvement irons, over time my improvement was miles superior to theres. I now play Titleist mb and they have shown no reason for change.
