I am close to your age and hdcp. As my game changed I found that Titleist flexed with my needs. Not knowing your swing characteristics, I can't recommend the proper set. But here is what I ended up doing. I moved from a forged club (AP2) to the AP3. The slightly stronger lofts, higher flight, and bigger sweet spot helped a lot. I also went to a Recoil shaft (95 F4). The Recoils have the characteristics of steel, with its ability to flight the ball, but the graphite provided the lightweight needs, and was less jarring on my joints. And with the new drivers and shafts combos, the options are endless.

Hope you'll keep looking to Titleist for your clubs. I think they've got great options for us "older" folk.

Interesting. Got into golf at 60 and being old and LH, it came down to Titleist and png. Still evolving, but fitters keep finding shaft combinations to fit me. Moved from 716 AP1 and graphite to the AP3 w/AMT Red. Note I HAVE TO get fit as there is not a club from any OEM on the rack that matches to me. If there is even a LH option.

I'm 66 with back and hips problems. Everything in my bag is Titleist and performs about as well as I could ask for with diminishing club head speed. Still able to maintain a single digit handicap. The AP1 and the C16 that are in my bag are as forgiving as any clubs on the market.

I'm almost 50 and play AP2 with Recoils. There is a fit for you if you see a certified Titleist fitter. I'm thinking next year moving to the AP3s. I play graphite because I wanted lighter shafts with better feedback and less abuse on my joints. No matter you go graphite or steel Titleist will have a set for you.
