  1. Hi just curious to find out what your thoughts are on the latest ap1's and do you game them?

Would be helpful if you said you're handicap too.

    Really appreciate it thanks.

  2. Hey, I play AP1 since mid of last year and love them. I started this season at 18hcp, now playing of 12. My swing speed is 83-85 with 6 iron and I carry 165 my 6 iron on good strikes. Before I played "wonnabe players irons" cally X20 Tour. And I never look back. I love the confidence and forgiveness of AP1. I have 4iron to 48deg AP1 set, and 52 and 58 Vokey wedges. I am not afraid hitting 4 iron from fairway, semirough, or good (not burried) rough lie, if there is some space in landing area. 6iron I play also to tight places. I am not friend of hybrids and these 4i and 5i special construction make them easy to fly with my swing speed. And very easy clubs to hit from tee.
I do a lot of pitching and running chips with PW and 48, though delicate greenside work I do with Vokeys.
Overall. I am extremely happy with my purchase and I doubt my level of play would ever want me to "work the ball" with irons. Straight is just fine. Oh, I forgot, shafts I have Regular, but not Reds but those which are normally AP3 shafts (never remember if black or white...). Totally happy with trajectory too. Reds would kick it too high for me. If your swing speed is sub 80 for 6 iron, consider Red.
  3. I play the 2018 AP1 4-PW I love these sticks, they’re not too bulky looking at address for a game improvement iron, I went from an 18 down to a 14.7, they feel great and I love the 4 irons it’s really solid. I’ve never liked hybrids. These sticks give me a ton of confidence. I went a did a tour van fitting at a pga tour superstore which gave me a lot of info on the right shaft for me. I have a kbs c taper lite regular flex. The lower irons are solid as well. I got them back in September and haven’t been happier with a set of irons before.
