Stock 48 or Vokey?

    I currently play AP3s 4-9, P(43), G(48), and then I play SM7s 52, 56, 60. I absolutely love my vokeys but don't get as many full swings with them as I'd wish!

    Looking ahead to next year I am going to upgrade my set. Wondering if it would make sense to go 4-P with my iron set, and replace the G(48) with another vokey instead.

    Any insight? Overkill on the vokeys?

    You have the G, try the SM7 48F at a Titleist fitting. Do you use the G now for full shots? How often do you use it close to the green. How you use the club will be a deciding factor. The 48F will have more bounce if you dig too much with the G. All questions a good fitter would ask in deciding how to fit you.
