  1. My club in Bend, Oregon is not going to carry new TS1 driver this season. I have 5 year old Titleist driver. I’m 72 this summer, maybe reach 80 now and then on swing speed. I’m fit and strong for my age, but...so TS1 got my interest. Love to hit it. Our son lives in Ranch SF, plays at The Bridges. Any way you can recommend shaft, head choices through e mails? Thanks in advance for any help here.

  2. I just tried the new TS1 and I am very impressed. I will be 76 next month and I gained 20 yards with the TS1 compared to my 917 D3. I ordered one with the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Series Blue 55 (Stiff) shaft and I can not wait to receive it.

They may not stock one but they should be able to order you one. There also should be some major retailer in Bend that would get one for fitting, if even in an indoor station. Can’t over emphasize the benefit of hitting it with TrackMan analysis to give you the right fit. Find a place to do a fitting and then order from them or your home course.

Try to find a certified Titleist fitter in your area. I'm sure that one of the TT staff can assist you in finding one. Then you will be able to demo an be properly fit.

    Peter,
Have you tried using the "Find Fitting Locations" option at the top of the page to see if there are any other Titleist fitters in your area? Even if you have to drive to get to a fitter, it's better than taking a recommendation from someone who knows nothing about your swing other than what you have said in your post.

Best of luck with finding a fitter and getting setup with a new TS1.

Not sure what level of fitters will get the TS-1 fitting head. My local Premier fitting location got the RH heads 2 weeks ago and the LH head 4 days ago. If there isn't a Titleist Thursday within 60 miles of you, if your local club is a Titleist fitter, then the local rep should be able to get the heads for a fitting. TS-4 and TS-1 drivers are intended for a small number of players at the end of the bell curve distribution, so there won't likely be any models on the rack. There are more variables than club weight than contribute to faster ball speed. If I swing at 100% instead of 80%, I can get out of tempo. So I'm anxious to try it, but will wait for a fitting to make sure it does get me more speed.

I was fit for one and now own one has really put a little extra hop in my step. roughly 20-25 yards so far loving it. Really closed the gap with some younger guys I play with on a regular basis.
