I made the switch, I was going back and forrth between the G410 and TS2 earlier and I tried the TS1 in June and it was a totally different experience.

I have dropped to a 83 to 85 mph swing based on a club fitting in April. I was getting 188 to 197 carry, with a total distance of between 208 and 214.

I did decide to go with the Fubuki 45g A shaft, my TS2 had the Tensei Orange 55 R flex. But first swing out of the box with the TS1 was 92 mph and 218 carry and 231 total. Now not every drive hit that, but I was consistently in the 88 to 90 mph and 204 carry with 220'ish total. I've had as long of drive as 241 with it (gps measured)

The lighter weight absolutely makes a difference. You say 45g, if that's the case that's about a 15% decrease in weight, which isn't insignificant.

I highly recommend getting fit for it, I never would have thought a Senior flex would fit me that much better, not an ego thing, but just going on what past fitters had put me in.

I have TS2 driver with Kuro Kage shaft and am thinking going to the 40 gram Speeder regular flex. Purchased the TS2 3 wood with that shaft and love it.

Assuming you have the kurokage shaft on your ts2 it is a lightweight shaft with high launch characteristics. However, the TS1 is a completely different animal. The lighter weight is very easy to tell right away, the head, the shaft, even the grip is lighter. It is designed for more spin (helps get the ball in the air and keep it there for slower swing speeds.) I fit guys for this driver all the time, they hit the ts2 with 165 carry, immediately and consistently they are in the 190's carry with the ts1. Anyone that swings less than 85mph and doesn't get the ball high enough should absolutely demo this driver. I have also fit faster swing players (low 90's) but have no height and just hit line drives into the 12.5* with the kurokage shaft on the ts1 and see immediate improvements. Titleist nailed it one the TS1 for seniors, women, juniors and anyone else that needs lighter weight and higher (and longer) tee shots.

I'm essentially the same age as you. I have a TS-2 11.5 degree set to 13 degrees with tensai blue R flex and now have a TS-1 10.5 with the 45 g r-flex shaft set to 11.25 - primarily to close the face and reduce fade. I gained 2 mph ball speed but the gain is more consistent and I feel I can still control the path better through 18 holes. I only wish I knew about the TS-1 when the TS's came out. The TS-2 was 10-12 yards longer carry than my 917. If at the end of a fitting comparing the TS-2, you don't have to upgrade if it doesn't feel good. But it probably will.
