I purchased a set of AP2-710's in January 2010, and I assumed they had the new, conforming grooves. A friend told me they probably weren't, since you have to special order v-grooves. Is there any way I can tell for sure?

The original AP1's, AP2's, ZB's, ZM's and the new AP1's, AP2's, CB's and MB's all conform to the new groove ruling by the USGA. Many of our iron sets already conformed to the ruling including almost all the blades and even some of the DCI's. You can check on the USGA website for conforming clubs by going to http://www.usga.org/InfoClubsDB/index.asp and put in Acushnet for the manufacturer and Titleist for the product name.
