  1. I’ve had a couple months to play with my AP1s. I am in love. For years, I’ve played with Cobras and never expected to switch. After going out for a swing analysis, the club pro let me try out several other newer models. There were Pings, tms, Callys, and PXGs; maybe a couple others. Each were obviously very nice irons. Then he pulled out the AP1 7 iron. I’ve always thought Titleist irons were for players much better than me (I’m happy anytime I can get into the low to mid 80s). Wow!

Sort of like when I met my wife - it was love at first sight! I immediately went out and found a set of AP1s.

I have never in my life struck my irons so cleanly, so consistently, and so effortlessly. I’m attacking pins from the white stakes and giving myself more birdie and par opportunities than ever before.

Thank you Titleist for remembering us recreational golfers and creating such a beautiful set of irons. Now, if I could just figure out how to do that dadgum flop shot.

  2. Hey I've enjoyed every round since i got the AP1's in the bag. I'm lucky enough to have all Titleist clubs in the bag now and i couldn't be happier.

Hey BCandee, my first set of clubs that I was fit for were the 716 AP1s. I feel the same way. I absolutely love them. I hope to get fitted in the next couple of years for whatever Titleist has. It looks like the TS300s for me. But until then, I'll just keep loving my AP1s.
    Play Well,

Have been playing with the 716AP1s XP105 s300 since I changed from the 714AP2s XP95 s300 the same year. Was fitted incorrestly for the AP2s and just could not hit them. When I got properly fitted for the AP1s we fould the distance and accuracy I was seeking. It has been four years and age has taken it's toil on me and I turned 73 and was fitted recently for the T300 AMT Red R300 107gm-95gm and found the additional distance and accuracy that I seemed to have lost. Have always played stiff shafts and just did not want to admit that I needed regular shafts. Hit them for a short while on the range yesterday and they seemed to be straighter and I finally am able to hit a fade. Am putting them into a match tomorrow to see how the distance actually compare to the old models. T300 is the old AP1, just with an afterburner. I hope you get as much enjoyment from your AP1s as I did and I feel the new T300's will assist me in my new goals of lowering my handicap and more consistency in my scoring. At the fitting I was able to hit the new 7 iron 160 yards, not bad....according to my fitter.....
  5. Chuck Z,
73 and you hit your 7 iron 160!!!! That, my friend, is quite impressive.

BCandee@ I still play my 716 AP1 4 and 5 iron and 6-PW AP2s. So you can also blend them when your game is going better and better.
