I’ve had a couple months to play with my AP1s. I am in love. For years, I’ve played with Cobras and never expected to switch. After going out for a swing analysis, the club pro let me try out several other newer models. There were Pings, tms, Callys, and PXGs; maybe a couple others. Each were obviously very nice irons. Then he pulled out the AP1 7 iron. I’ve always thought Titleist irons were for players much better than me (I’m happy anytime I can get into the low to mid 80s). Wow!
Sort of like when I met my wife - it was love at first sight! I immediately went out and found a set of AP1s.
I have never in my life struck my irons so cleanly, so consistently, and so effortlessly. I’m attacking pins from the white stakes and giving myself more birdie and par opportunities than ever before.
Thank you Titleist for remembering us recreational golfers and creating such a beautiful set of irons. Now, if I could just figure out how to do that dadgum flop shot.
