  1. My current irons are about 15 years old. Cobra II oversized forged irons. I do like the forged feel but scared I’m not good enough for AP2 irons, so considering AP1 irons what do you think

What’s your Hdcp? AP2 716 or 718 is definitely more forgiving than the old Cobra II irons. Try both and also think about a mixed set of AP1 long irons like 4 and 5 and 6-PW AP2.

If you’re only interested in the AP range then why not look at the AP3’s. Otherwise if you like the forged feel then there’s the new T200’s.
  4. Custom options are done on the AP line. Take a good look at the T200's forged face, clean look, big distance. If you want a more pure players iron look at the T100's if you want an easier hitting club with the most distance the T300's are solid and at a better price point. Also make sure you get the right shaft for your optimal trajectory the AMT line has 3 flight options and try graphite just to see if you like it.

Head to a fitter or a shop like golf galaxy or something. you'll be able to try them out and see what you think. Theres sure to be some improvements in 15 years. If you're gonna buy new clubs you might as well do it the right way!
