I've got a 915 D2 9.5 with a Mitsubishi Diamana S+ Blue 60 reg shaft and I'm looking at The TS2 similar loft with a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black 60 reg shaft. I'm interested to know if there is much difference between the two shafts.

  2. I had that DIamana shaft in stiff in my 917D2 and have the Hzrdus Smoke in stiff in my TS3. In each case I was fitted for them. I found the Hzrdus Smoke to be a little more stout but not overly so. Huge fan of the Hzrdus Smoke shaft. That coupled with the TS3 head had me averaging 12 yds more than the 917D2. Of course it goes without saying to get fitted and see what works best for you.

Hi Richard, the main difference is one is made by Project X and the other is made by Mitsubishi. Joke aside, I would hit a bucket of balls with each shaft to get a feel for their capabilities. The PJX HZD Smoke shaft is widely available so I would imagine your local shop has a demo club you can try.
  4. I have recently had a new 917 head installed on a Project X shaft borrowed from the TS2 at golf galaxy. As they were working on my Diamani shaft they allowed me to use the project X for my Tee time the following day. Let me tell you .... I struck the ball marvelously with the borrowed project X shaft. So much in fact that when I returned the borrowed shaft I offered to buy the shaft and keep the Project X on my 917 fairway. The guys at golf galaxy were so nice they actually gave me the shaft in trade for the Dismani. In short.. it is my very strong opinion , for me at least. The Project X shaft gives my swing just the edge it needed to add yards to my fairway game.

    Hi,
The only advise is try them both.
I own a TS3 with Smoke in stiff flex, and it is a good match, my mishits are on the left side.
It is doing an excellent job.
The Blue is another story, I feel that I have less control with it. For me the White is a better choice.

When you try it, you will find the good shaft for you.

    Best regards,
