I will let you know that I also went from the 915D2 to the TS driver but opted for the TS3. My 915d2 was an 8.5 degree and I did move to a 9.5 degree on the TS3. I have gained about 8 yards on average with a slightly faster swing and ball speed. I wouldnt make any changes without going in and getting fit for what works best for you but dont shy away from the higher lofts at all.

Titleist recently posted a video on the experiences of Adam Scott and Charles Howell, III. Adam moved to a higher loft, while CH3 went to a lower loft. In general the pros are increasing loft as the COG has moved further down and back in the head and the balls have a more controlled spin off of metals. While a trend, there is still individual variation that a fitter can work on. I've always had 12 degree Titleist drivers but had to go to 10.5 degrees (LH golfer) with the TS-1. Between the head weight and shaft characteristics, I have not lost any launch, perhaps even gained some. I can't hit over the center of the face without ballooning. I haven't ruled out using the Tensai Blue shaft from my 12 degree TS-2. But I've had my longest drives with the TS-1 this year. It's all individual.

I don't own a TS driver but tested a 8.5 degree TS3 for a week and was surprised how easily it got the ball airborn. Ball flight was a bit higher than my 9.5 degree gamer. Tested a TS2 10.5 and ball flight was way too high. So my experience is the TS line hits the ball higher than some others.
