  1. Hi guys - I currently carry a Titleist u500 2 iron and t mb 3 iron between 4 iron and 3 wood. Does anyone else carry more than one driving iron style club? would gap between 2 iron and 4 iron be too big? I always make the mistake of buying without gap testing and then think later!!! Any views would be greatly appreciated

  2. Adequate gapping should be about 5mph ball speed between clubs (for a 10 yard gap) when i do fittings if the player gets the same ball speed with the 4 iron as they do with the 5 iron we take the 4 iron out and look at hybrids/driving irons/fw woods - no issue/concern with multiple driving irons.
  3. Thanks Dave for the info. Have used 2 and 3 driving iron since my original question and have noticed I get stuck between which to use. Did a gap test and found I can hit a soft cut with 2 iron to get 3 iron yardage but can’t force 3 iron to 2 iron yardage so sticking with 2 iron and adding an extra wedge.
