With the TS 1 having a slight draw bias and a 12.5* loft verses the 917 12* loft driver, how does that affect the hosel setting matrix? I was fitted by a Titleist rep at D4 on the 917 12* driver, and it seems to launch a bit high for softer fairways. I am trying the TS 1 at the B1 setting. Any other suggestions. No Titleist fitting center me.

  2. I did not realize the TS1 has a draw bias out of the box...I would double check this with the Titleist Staff in California.

The matrix is the same for all Sure-Fit hosel clubs. For RH, the base setting is A1. D4 adds 0.75 degrees of loft.

The other part of the fitting is the shaft. With the Fubiki shaft in the TS1, I'm getting a steeper shot with the 10.5 head than I got with the 12 degree TS2 with the Tensai Blue shaft. Being LH, my only option was the 10.5.

Like Chris, I don't know that the TS1 has a draw bias at the A1 position. It was promoted to gain 2-5 mph head speed for the additional distance. You can check to see if the A1 position is still 0.5 degrees open on all drivers since the 910,

Titleist's TS 1 promo says that the club is manufactured with a slight draw bias. I will now try the A1 position, maybe that will compensate for the extra .5* loft and draw bias.

Adding/decreasing loft definitely closes/opens (increasing/decreasing draw bias) the face relative to the prior setting. 11.75 degrees (-0.75 degrees) will be more open than the A1/12.5 degrees. Adding/decreasing lie will also compliment the face exposure bias in the same direction.

Thanks Dan O, I'm going to range and try the A,B,C,D 1 settings.
  7. So I just purchased a TS1 with 10.5 head and the Speeder 40 shaft. In addition to the hosel, can the weight in the club head be adjusted?
