1. Where they new?
2. Can Titleist confirm the site is connected to a brick & mortar dealer?
3. Was the price the same or close to the price at national golf stores?
4. Is there any indication the clubs were not shipped from outside the US?
If so, then they will likely be authentic.
There are u-tube videos on "how to spot a counterfeit".

Used sets are a harder. I will trust the biggest re-sellers - but only because they guarantee authenticity if I find out otherwise.

Shipping from China or a price too good to be true are the most obvious signs. Serial numbers are not much of a help, unless you can find multiple sets with the same serial number. A private seller on ebay with a price too good to be true is very suspicious.

I took a look at my T200s which came directly from Titleist. The serial number on my 6 iron is in the same location as the one in the picture, but it seems to be a much finer stamping on my hosel. It's hard to say for sure from your pic. Yours also has some of the numbers obscured , purposely, I presume, but I have a 7-digit serial number and there does not seem to be any color-fill to the stamping as it appears in your photo. (Maybe you were trying to enhance for visibility purposes and created that color yourself? I don't know, just speculating on that.)

All that said, just because my set has a different stamping from yours, it doesn't necessarily mean yours are fake. They are likely fine if they came from a truly reputable dealer, but if it really concerns you, take them into an actual brick and mortor Titleist dealer and compare them side by side with a set you know is legit. Weigh them side by side if they look exactly the same with the same shafts. I might also check swing weight. Or you could send one back to Titleist for verification if you are willing to wait for confirmation. (Though, if it is fake, they may confiscate it.)

Ok, here we go again. The only way to have peace of mind when buying brand name golf equipment is to purchase from an authorized dealer with an account with the company. Not only are you assured of getting the real thing, you also have recourse in the event of problems with the clubs.

Can you post more pictures? Can't tell from just the serial number stamping on the iron. Need to at least see back of the iron, number on the iron, ferrule, shaft band and grip.

Titleist can't confirm with just the serial number. Counterfeits have real serial numbers too. Only custom fit sets, Titlest can confirm 100%.

It looks to be a fake. Another way to tell without destroying them is to remove a shaft and weigh the clubhead

Sorry to bring back this old thread. I'm also in the same situation. Didn't realize all the potential fakes until after the fact. Mine is also from a reputable seller with almost 3000 feedback, shipping from the US. I brought mine to the store to compare and it's still unconlusive. The head looks identical but the serial font is different. Also the ferule is slightly bigger on mine as compared to the store display. The store display is flush, same size with smooth transition to the hosel vs mine which has a slight bump, slightly bigger and not as flush smooth transition. I also compare my 6 iron ferule with the recently bought SM7 wedge and the wedge has the same flush-smooth transition as the store display.

Hi Does any of you ever has this kind of serial number on your titleist T200 irons?

Bought my T-200s from Golf Galaxy June 2021. My serial number is very smooth like it was laser etched and not stamped. Not sure if it helps but thought I would throw it out there.

I work at my local golf store and by the looks to me these are fake, my new Titleist irons are laser engraved and the engraving is smaller and much smoother. I also do a lot of club repairs and have seen this before. A guy brought in a Cameron putter for a grip change and was so excited to get it but I had to tell him it was a fake! Buyer beware, sorry and I hope I’m not right in this case!
