  1. For 3 years I played the 917 d3 driver and loved it. A few months ago I switched to the ts1. I'm 71. a 8 handicap, average drive 200 yards. Since my swing speed is slowing down I went with the ts1, advertised a being the correct choice for me. But, I was more accurate with the d3 and I'm not seeing any yardage gain. Wondering if anyone else has made a similar switch and what they found.

Did you actually do a fitting or just switch? If you do not actually do a fitting where you can utilize a tool like TrackMan, it will always be a guessing game as to whether you picked the right club to maximize all elements of your swing. Also, as a guy creeping up on 62, I know technology will not keep up with my body degeneration so I am not looking to gain yardage, rather just slow the progressive loss of distance. It would not be fair to say it's the club's fault if my swing speed has slowed down. My suggestion would be to find a Titleist Thursday or any other fitting opportunity and see if the TS1 settings or even shaft needs to be changed for you. I hope I am still out there swinging away in 10 years too. Good on you! Have fun out there.
