  1. Hey everyone. Who here owns/ has tested a u510 1 iron? I’m wondering if it is a viable 3 wood replacement. For whatever reason, my 3 wood has never been that trustworthy of a club, so I’m thinking a 1 iron could be more consistent. I have a 718 tmb 4 iron which is amazing, but at 16 degrees I’m curious to know if the forgiveness and playability is there for an iron. Thanks! -Joshua

    Hey Joshua,

Great question and thread! Speaking of my own personal experience, I did add the U-510 1-iron to my rotation this past season and I love it. It has been a great option for me off the tee and on the fairway. I do rotate in my TS2 3-wood depending on the course but I would say I've had the 510 in the bag more often than not.

As for playability, I was a little nervous at first because, well, it's a 1-iron. But I have been beyond pleasantly surprised at the overall performance and playability/forgiveness of this club. The best way for me to describe it is that I don't hesitate to pull it out of the bag if the shot calls for it.

Keep us posted if you take one out for a test drive and let us know where you land!

  3. Thank you Mike! That was very helpful! I very interested in trying it out! I think it could be a sweet addition to the bag. I’ll let know know when I make a decision!
  4. I would only use a 1 iron to :
    Butter toast
Intimidate a friend by leaving in the bag
    That’s it!
