I don't know why, but this question has been bugging me for a while. Thanks in advance for anyone who can answer.
When a manufacturer such as Titleist designates loft angle for an iron, a 28° 7-iron for example, is that the fixed angle between the shaft and face?
If that's the case, actual loft angle at impact is several degrees less due to forward shaft lean, or designed impact position. In other words, a 28° 7-iron would actually deliver approximately 20° of loft at impact?
