I been playing with 13 clubs, including the putter. I think it is time for me to bag the 14th club. My tendency is towards getting a left-hand wedge. I think this would be really useful when facing awkward positions that do not allow the use of right-hand clubs. Anybody has been doing so? What is the recommended left-hand club? A left-hand hybrid or a left-hand wedge? What is the best loft to get? Thanks.

After I had a temporary injury, I started playing left handed with very forgiving clubs. It takes a little while to get good on the other side, but I was consistantly hitting great shots (even thought about switching to left hand). It was a bit awkward in certain parts of the game, such as chipping, putting, and the driver/woods though. If you do consider putting another dexterity club in your bag, make sure you can hit it. Irons seem to be the easiest to get good with in my own experience, so settling in and practicing with a nice 8 iron could do wonders.
  3. Not a bad way of thinking. I have always just spun the club around and kicked it out but very interesting thought process for the extra club.

I've carried a 7 iron (RH) primarily to punch out when the ball is on the left side of a tree or obstacle (LH golfer). Unless I practice with it more than just a punch shot, I end up sending in any direction. I have to fight my inner PM at that point. I can reliably get up to 100 yards with the 7 iron on a low trajectory.
