  1. I currently use Cobra Max Hybrid/Irons. 9/8/7 are blades, 6/5/4/3 are hybrids which I love hitting. Very forgiving clubs. Left handed 20 handicap. Really never looked into Titleist clubs. Can anyone recommend clubs that are forgiving from Titleist for a 20 handicap like me?

    Thanks!

  2. Ap1 or 100 series would be the start. There is a tool club selector in the website to help and demo days at my clubs to try out in person as well. Best of luck.
  3. Thanks for the info!

Looking at changing to super game improvement irons.

I play with srxn 765, which I don’t hit well. Handicap is about 15. My game went off the rails in 2020. Was in low-mid 80’s, now I shoot low 90’s to low 100’s.

Thoughts on which irons, and set composition?

Probably the T400's.. But no one here knows your swing... So the best and only way to know is to get properly fit by a Titleist Rep!
  6. T200, 300 or 400 are good options, but before buying I would recommend doing a fitting to see which will best suit your game.

T300s might be the best option, but you should really work with a Titleist fitter to get the correct model/shaft combo. Look for a Titleist Thursday event near you and book a time (it's free). Look under the "Fitting" menu option at top of the page. Best of luck with getting the correct set for your game!

The irons are reversed with the 400 series being most forgiving and the 100 series least forgiving-T400;T300:T200;T100

I would recommend the t-300s for you, great feeling irons and very forgiving. You’ll love the distance out of them too!

I would get properly fitted by a Titleist fitting expert. In the meantime, try the 'Iron Selector' tool on Titleist website.

I have always dreamed about getting hybrids for my longer irons. I might do it when golf club makers get rid of the number and just use degrees.

While the degree wars are adding confusion, there are also tech changes That make a difference. With AP1-3’s, the longest iron I could hit was a 6 iron. With the T400 it is still a 6 iron but at 23 degrees instead of 27. And almost 20 yards longer. I actually don’t know if I can hit a 5 iron - a 20 degree iron just terrifies me so I didn’t buy one. The 6 iron matches up with a 23 hybrid, but that is also called a utility club for a reason.

I don’t worry about the number anymore - just go by distance and pull a club. The numbers are just to make sure I pull the intended one.
